credits

released September 23, 2015

Formed as "MERMORT Sounds Film" in 2004 as an experimental, prog, hardcore band based in Tokyo.
Released its first album, "HAREWATARU ZETSUBO TO PATOSU" (Clear Despair and Pathos) from allied independent label RinnE Records. In addition to touring Japan, toured the US twice, appearing in New York and L.A. to perform with prog bands. Released its second album "Polygon" after a six-year hiatus, welcoming Dairoku Seki (of "envy, storm of void") as a recording drummer, having reached profound mutual understanding through the universal language that is music. The album is made mainly in varying tempos because the capitalistic world has become overly rational, and the album is attempting to refute society's turn toward pragmatism. The occasional improvisation provides illusionary relief, as if to erase (i.e., destruction=zero) the existence of time as perceived by tempo. Polygon is to these times a very natural, if extremely irrational, kind of music.
